Biography

Mark Aniadaga is a professional urban planner highly skilled in geospatial science with extensive experience in spatial data analysis and its applications in sustainable urban development. He received his Planning education from KNUST in Ghana, and Auburn University in the United States. Throughout his career, Mr. Aniadaga has played a crucial role in several urban planning projects leveraging his expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide data driven solutions for Cities, Towns, and Organizations. Some of His works involved conducting spatial analyses to assess land use patterns, comprehensive zoning revisions and diagnosis, site studies, economic development plans, transportation analysis, and environmental issues.

Mr. Aniadaga has been a key player in creating comprehensive master plans, small area plans and urban revitalization plans for cities by integrating smart city technologies, and green infrastructure to foster sustainable urban growth. He is a recognized thought leader and professional in his field. His expertise extends beyond traditional urban planning, as he is always envisioning and exploring innovative, unconventional, and forward-thinking approaches that respond to the dynamic and ever-changing needs of modern cities and organizations to help solve many complex urban and organizational problems.

The Alabama – Mississippi Chapters of the American planning association’s Distinguished Leadership Award recognized Mark Aniadaga’s exceptional contributions to the profession and his commitment to advancing the principles of sustainable, smart city and resilient urban planning.
